The Alabama ABC Board's school-based, assembly-style education program continues to be in high demand. During the 2024-2025 school year, the anti-drinking presentation was held 131 times at 110 school campuses and more than 27,000 received the message - consuming alcohol, drugs and age-restricted items such as traditional tobacco and vape products can lead to negative consequences.
This free program is offered to all middle schools and high schools located in Alabama. The 50-minute presentation typically features law enforcement officers and mothers who have lost loved ones due to alcohol consumption. The presenters explain the dangers, social costs and legal consequences of underage drinking. We partner with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and American Character Builders to assist schools in spreading the facts about the dangers of using drugs. Thanks in part to a grant from the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association, the Alabama ABC Board is able to provide this educational opportunity.
We encourage you to register your school today.
